Mr and Mrs J T Ford Sr of Norton with Mrs Virge Rogers and Mr and Mrs Leon Rogers and daughter Shirley Joyce left Saturday January 22 for Houston to visit Virge Rogers sister Mrs Finns Gooding and her son Leo who had been in England. They toured Hermon Park Zoo and Museum then traveled to San Antonio visiting Sunken Gardens Buckhorn Saloon and other relatives returning January 26.

Austin, Texas. January 27. Dr. Geo. W. Cox, State Health Officer, warns of gas stove hazards after several deaths from gas fumes. He urges open windows or doors for ventilation, even without leaks, and cautions newcomers from coal or wood burning regions to ensure fresh air when using gas flames.
