A notice offers a $50 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of persons shooting insulators or destroying Concho Valley Electric Cooperative property. Also includes miscellaneous classified items promoting Bronte lots for sale, an obituary note, and local service ads from Bronte residents.
The City of Bronte Texas schedules an election for January 5 1952 to decide if it should authorize a water supply contract with the Upper Colorado River Authority. Only qualified electors owning taxable property may vote. A copy of the proposed contract is available for inspection at City Hall.
Weatherford residents Elmer Modgling and Elmer Lynn with Gary Lee joined Mr and Mrs Winston Modgling and Linda of San Angelo for holiday time at the B E Modgling home. The Robinsons of Woodson traveled to Bronte to be with relatives for the holidays.
Visitors at Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hester include Bob Kirchman and family Agnes Roznosky Norma Clark Hubert McGallian and others from San Angelo Ballinger and Blackwell. Douglas Ray Stevens on Christmas furlough from Fort Bliss El Paso joined Bronte friends and relatives. Holiday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Oglesby include Mrs. Oglesby Sr. of Lubbock and Mr. A. L. Young and Virginia Young of Westbrook.
Mr and Mrs F S Higginbotham welcomed six daughters and their families for Christmas. Guests included Warren Haymes and family of Crosbyton, Bill Miers and family of Coldwater Michigan, H A Fitzhugh and children of San Antonio, Jack Hamilton and sons of Dallas, Frank Sayner and children of Knickerbocker, and George Hughes and family of Houston.
