Area youth hoops teams compete in consolation brackets
In a brisk junior high tournament, the boys split results with Mertzon edging Longhorns 37-29 as Richards led with 10. Blackwell claimed a 49-42 win with Richards scoring 13. The girls fell 25-26 to Eola in a thriller after a 30-19 win over Blackwell earlier, with Holcombe and Morrow leading scoring chores.
