Books donated to Coke Library by David Lindsey
Approximately 63 books were received this week by the Coke County Library donated by David Lindsey of Austin. Lindsey is editor and publisher of Heidelberg Publishing Co. and a son of Earl and Mrs. Lindsey of Robert Lee. Several company publications are included. A notable title is The Hunter's Cookbook with wild game recipes and field dressing sections.

Community notes from Blackwell and area visits
Local residents hosted and visited family from Muleshoe Lubbock and San Angelo during recent weekends. UMW and WMU meetings in Blackwell featured programs and guest pastors, with plans for a December Christmas program and a January 5 gathering. A baby shower for Mrs Rodney Parsons was held at Elna Sweet’s home with 22 guests.

County 4-H Clubs to Hold Christmas Party
The Coke County 4-H Clubs plan a Christmas party Sunday December 14 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Robert Lee Community Center. Members should bring a two dollar exchange gift. girls bring a dozen cookies, boys two cents each. Senior members bring a two dollar fifty cent gift and will run the program and games. All county 4-H members are invited.
