Funeral Rites Held for Mrs. Frank Keesee in Bronte
Mrs Irene Keesee 56 of Coke County died Sunday after a two month illness at Bronte Hospital. Funeral services were held at First Baptist Church with Pastor Morrie Morrie officiating. Burial followed. Survived by husband Frank, daughter Lavada Boies of Lockbourne AFB Ohio, mother J C Scott of Wellington, three brothers Ocie Scott R P Scott J C Scott, three sisters Lottie Hall Vera Minter Clovis Rainey and one grandchild. Bronte Jaycees plan two Saturdays of prize drawings and Turkey Shoots with merchants donating prizes valued over 300 dollars. Drawings at 3 30 p m on each of the two Saturdays. pony drawing December 18 following merchant prizes. Tickets at local stores. Only one prize per family per day. Everyone urged to attend.

Christoval Hosts Weekend Basketball Tournament
Boys and girls teams from Christoval will host a weekend basketball tournament with games against Mertzon. The girls start at 1 p.m. Thursday, the boys at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, both versus Mertzon. Next Tuesday, the teams travel to Hermleigh for more games. The girls A team won and B team lost Monday against Baljinger. scores were 29 51 and 42 26.

Last Rites for Mrs Gentry Held in Bronte Church
Funeral services for Mrs Florence Mildred Gentry, 96, were conducted Monday at Bronte Methodist Church with the Rev. A S Masterson officiating. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery, Ballinger, under Williams Funeral Home of Bronte. She died Saturday in a Winters nursing home after a long illness. She leaves a brother Duke Kevil of San Angelo and a sister, among others.
