Home Demonstration Club Activities in Coke County

About 70 people attended the annual W H D Exhibit Saturday in the Agricultural Building. Displays featured crochet quilts aprons crafts blouses a child s dress and other items by W H D ladies and 4 H girls. A Bazaar and Bake Sale raised a little over 40. Coke County Cook Book arrived and was sold through club members or Joyce King. I toured San Angelo for a Basic Clothing Workshop by Nena Roberson A M College to improve 4 H clothing programs. Christmas is in the air as clubs plan parties including a council party on Tuesday Dec 13.

Famous Dancer To Be Presented Monday December 12

Choreographically Speaking showcases Rebecca Harris in the high school auditorium at 1 p m with dances such as Pu jah The Peacock Svara Karana as well as Ouled Nail Farruca and Tamborita Frederick Garst narrates The program lists varied Indian North Africa and Panamanian dances and admission is 15 cents for elementary and 25 cents for high school students The public is invited Additionally Mrs T F Sims Sr sustained a hand injury last Friday requiring stitches and hospitalization
