Judge Denies New Trial in Condemnation Suit
In Robert Lee, Judge W W Thetford denied a motion for a new trial in State of Texas v Edward M Cumbile et al a land condemnation case. Marvin Scentell for the state asked for a new trial and the decision can be appealed within 30 days to the State Court of Civil Appeals. Earl Smith represented Edward M Cumbie and others of Bronte. A September 10 jury awarded Cumbie 2201 dollars and 9 cents for land damages.
