Mrs M E Lasswell suffered multiple cuts and bruises last Monday afternoon when a sun blinded driver caused their car to strike caliche piles and veer into a ditch. Her husband and daughter Myr tle were uninjured. the wreck damaged the windshield but not the car otherwise.
Texas Highway Department workers swept Bronte last Friday cleaning Main Street from the railroad to the intersection with Highway 277 and 277 to the city limits in both directions.
Highway department crews repaired several spots at no cost to the city and officials plan to lay off parking stripes on Main Street and near the First National Bank. A machine will be purchased to mark stop signs and speed limits. The Southwest Texas Conference Women’s Society of Christian Service hosts the School of Missions at Mount Wesley Kerrville featuring devotion, worship, and church instruction. Mrs. W. C. Craig attends from Bronte Church.
