Neighbor touts heliport airport scheme in rural tale
A letter from Uncle Hale relays a community plan for a helicopter airstrip tied to a defense program and past farm loan policy. He cites USDA Agri Culture Act of 1962 loans, a North Carolina farmer, and a neighbor proposing a 10 acre site with possible $75,000 in credit. He notes political tensions with New Frontier Republicans and questions feasibility amid national stockpiling logic.
