Modesto visitors Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Sutton and children spent the weekend with aunt Mrs. B. P. Ragsdale. Mrs. Jim Wilson is ill in Bronte hospital. Mr. and Mrs. James Saunders welcomed a son. grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Lee Lackey and Mr. and Mrs. Harve Saunders. Ragsdales and visitors attended Bell reunion in Robert Lee and Chapman reunion in Water Valley. Visitors from Deming New Mexico include Mrs. Pearl Gray and Mrs. Eunice McGuire with children. Mr. Joe Patterson of Aransas Pass visiting Blackwell relatives. Picnic honors extend to Coke Chapman Sr. and Jr. families from Faith, South Dakota.

Picnic and reunion notes from Bronte area events

The Bronte Enterprise reports a picnic supper at Oak Creek Lake with many families from Blackwell and nearby towns plus a West family reunion at the American Legion Hall in Bronte with attendees from San Angelo Odessa San Antonio Abilene and Deming New Mexico. Vacation Bible School at First Methodist runs this week for 69 children with multiple teachers and Mrs. Louis Sweet as superintendent.
