Diptheria Immunization Urged By State Health Chief
Austin August 5 State Health Officer Dr Geo W Cox announced strong advances in diphtheria prevention and treatment. He highlighted toxoid as the standard preventive agent with immunity building in three to four months and Schick testing to verify results. He urged immunization for children as young as six months, noting two thirds of diphtheria deaths occur under age six.

Two Good Stores in Two Good Towns Sold to Duncan Davis Co
The S and Q Clothiers stores in Abilene and San Angelo sold a half interest to the Duncan Davis Company. Jake Ve Duncan of San Angelo and Chester Davis of Abilene lead the new arrangement. Duncan has long served San Angelo while Davis has headed Abilene S Q Clothiers since 1929. The move links two established outfits with active local community involvement.
