McCarley Lasswell Engagement Planned for June Wedding

Blackwell couple Mr. and Mrs. B R McCarley announce the engagement of daughter Rita to Robert Eugene Lasswell son of Mr. and Mrs R C Lasswell of Bronte The couple both studied at San Angelo College Rita was Freshman class favorite and serves on the student council Lasswell served in the Army at Kaiserslautern Germany and the wedding is set for June 7 at the First Methodist Church Blackwell

Appreciation Banquet At Bronte PT A Honors Staff Friday

The parlor of First Methodist Church hosted the annual Teacher and Trustee Appreciation Banquet sponsored by Bronte PTA. About 50 people attended including teachers, trustees, PTA officers and spouses. Linda Henry played organ music before the meal and Robert L. Moore delivered the address.
