Pvt. Joe R. Ash of Bronte is slated to depart the United States for Germany next month as part of Operation Gyroscope. He serves as a clerk in the Medical Detachment of the 7th Tank Battalion, 3rd Armored Division, now at Fort Knox replacing the 4th Infantry Division.
