Bronte Junior High Trackmen Place at Ballinger Meet
Joe Rivera led Bronte juniors with a second in the 1320 yard run. Teammates Jim Dan Raughton placed third in 220 yard intermediate hurdles and high jump and fourth in pole vault. Alan Barbee finished sixth in 100 yard dash high jump and broad jump. The 440 relay finished fourth and the 1320 relay fifth. Relay crews included Louis Martinez Doug Kelly Raughton and Barbee. District meet in Ballinger on April 16 follows.

Gary Don Allen of Bronte is elected vice president of the Student Chapter of the American Institute of Industrial Engineers at Texas Tech in Lubbock.
