The McGuire family announces the birth of daughter Mary Elien on Thursday March 31, weighing 8 pounds 2 ounces. She has two sisters Madene and Laura Lee and a brother Charles.
Sunday visitors included Mr. and Mrs. Lester Turner and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Colson of Abilene at the John Colson home. Clifford Clark hosted his parents Mr. and Mrs. Henry Clark sister Mrs. D. W. Turner and Jerry of Ballinger plus Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Clark Debby Mr. and Mrs. Billy Jack Gentry of San Angelo. Mrs. Warren Hames of Crosbyton stayed with her parents F. S. Higginbotham. Pearl Boynton hosted Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Cummins of Taft former Taft postmaster. A. B. Lammers was released from Robert Lee hospital after major surgery. Winston Modgling and daughter and Bob Coleman and son of San Angelo visited here Saturday night and at Oak Creek Lake where a fish fry was held. Attendees included Carroll Robbins Walter Phillips Barney Modgling and S. A. Riker. Chet Holcombe left for Seminole to work for Atlantic Pipeline Co. Mrs. Holcombe and John stay until school ends. Mrs. Holcombe has long taught in Bronte Schools.
