Lone Star gas rate rise approved by Railroad Commission
M L Bird of Dallas says the Railroad Commission authorized a 13 cent per thousand cubic feet increase for Lone Star gas in unincorporated areas and towns. He notes prior small adjustments and that residential and commercial rates have largely held steady for 25 years, with a May 1942 10 cent reduction prior to the new increase. The commission retains original jurisdiction over rates in nonmunicipal Texas areas.
