The funeral of Gaetano Vollaro of 172 Bradford street was held after a high mass at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Born in Atram Salerno Italy he lived here 38 years and worked for Collins and Aikman. He died Saturday in a Providence hospital after a short illness. He leaves a wife two sons a brother Giulio and two sisters Marietta and Josephine in Italy and another brother Alessandro locally. Burial was at St Mary's Cemetery with prayers led by Rev. Joseph Sorzano.
The Flying Horse patrol led by Richard Belmore won 44 points across games with Black Hawk close at 35 and Panthers 22. War Service awards went to Anthony Perry and Louis Medeiros. Meetings include Board of Review and Court of Honor next week and Star Life District Court in October. Patrols designed autumn and winter activities. Cub Dens plan circus acts for November.
