The Dr. Lyon Tabernacle meetings began Sunday in Warren under the joint sponsorship of Bristol Congregational, Methodist and Baptist churches and Warren’s Methodist and Baptist churches. A large Bristol attendance traveled for the afternoon service and stayed for the evening gathering. The temporary tabernacle near the railroad station seats about 1400 people.
About 150 singers performed as Horace F Irwin directed music and Theodore A Piper played piano. Evangelist Dr Milford H Lyon from Winona Lake leads nightly services at the Tabernacle with Bristol residents attending. ushers under Harvey Dunn assist and three furnaces heat the building.
