Assistant Conductor Ransom of Riverside narrowly escaped being pulled under his 1.15 p. m. train at Franklin street station yesterday. He saved a man who fell between the platform and the moving car but was left on the platform as the train pulled away, returning to pick up Ransom ten minutes later with the stranger missing. The incident caused a ten minute delay en route to Providence.
