U S Rubber Plant Seeks 350 More Workers On Third Shift
Bristol plant manager W A Armstrong says the most pressing problem is to hire 350 additional workers to operate eight hours on the third shift 11 pm to 7 am with steady or rotating shifts. He urges the 1800 staff to recruit friends and urges cooperation from nearby areas to fill vacancies and sustain production for wire and cable for the U S Signal Corps and Ordnance. The News Reel notes the factory paper began two weeks ago on Sept 6 and is published biweekly.

An Army airplane from LaGuardia Field New York and an airplane motor from Long Island have been assigned to Bristol Senior High School for aeronautics. Superintendent E S Mapes said Patterson Field Ohio notified him and provided transportation cost papers. The plane and motor will be kept in the Colt residence garage opposite the high school.
