Fate of Fluorine Up to Medical Society Tonight

The Bristol County Medical Society will meet at Rockwell House at 8 30 p m to decide on fluoridation of county water. Dr Anthony J Ramos will present arguments for fluorine use as nine dentists in the county have endorsed it and town councils in Barrington Warren and the county have approved. The society also plans a nominating committee and upcoming year actions.

Bisbano Named To Head New Bristol Municipal Division

Orlando J. Bisbano is appointed major of a newly created Bristol municipal division for the Red Feather campaign led by Frederick T. Goff. The division expands Bristol Community Chest to eight, with Bisbano soliciting residents involved in municipal affairs excluding the educational system. Hoover is Appointed Assistant Manager at Sandia Field Office

Gilbert C. Hoover retired navy admiral has been named assistant manager of the Sandia Field Office of the Atomic Energy Commission in Albuquerque New Mexico. He succeeds Daniel F Worth as Sandia Field Manager. Hoover has held multiple naval commands and served in both World Wars. He is recalled to active duty as a Lieutenant Junior Grade.

Record Crowd Attends Lady of Fatima Rites

About five thousand people gathered at Guiteras Field and St. Elizabeth's Church to honor Our Lady of Fatima last Sunday night. The procession featured the statue of the Blessed Virgin carried through Bristol streets, candles in homes, and the Ave Maria as the statue returned to church. Rev. Joseph Jurasko delivered the sermon, with local organizers and traffic officers coordinating the event.
