Town Council Action Sets Liquor Licenses Pause
The Town Council met Tuesday night with all members present and debated licenses. Viets G. Peck petitioned for administratrix Sarah V. G. Peck, bond $3000 without surety set. Petitions for sale of Jerome B. Greene estate and Orrin Smith Jr. administrator on Jane M. Bowler estate continued to Sept 19. Final guardian account for Marmaduke Mason continued. Frederick A. Tallman appointed administrator of William Fred Fish with bond $1000. Final account for Annie F. Munro’s executor allowed. Adoption and name change petition for Julius Entee continued. Mary Cunningham will and executors Catherine M. Cunningham and John J. Cunningham continued to Sept 19. Final administrator account for Caroline W. Thiele continued to Sept 19.

Mrs. Clarence Seymour and Mrs. George Thayer hosted a kitchen shower at the residence on Main Street Warren for Miss Katharine Salisbury of this town, as she prepares to marry Wednesday the 14th at 6.30 at St. Michael's Church. A large crowd from Bristol and Warren attended, including Sunpshine Whist Club members. The interior featured leaves, cut flowers, and potted plants, with a pleasant program of music and readings. Prizes were awarded: first to Mrs. Munro of Warren, second to Mrs. Gertrude Salisbury, consolation to Miss May Slade.

Bristol and Warren to Play Five Game Series
Bristol manager Guinan and Judge Leahy agreed with Warren to host a five game series between Bristol and Warren teams in 1910. The first game will be at Bristol on September 17 after a coin toss decided opening venue. Each side will field locally resident players and split gate receipts after expenses, with a $100 forfeit to enforce the agreement.
