Debate Over East Side Hope Street Sidewalk Petition
Town Council discusses a petition signed by 29 residents opposing a sidewalk on the east side of Hope Street near Taft School. President Huestis and others argue the plan would save town funds with state WPA help, while opponents cite tree removal and uneven areas. The editor notes prior reporting may have mischaracterized funding and materials.
