Rubber Covered Wire Men Visit Providence Factory Tour

About 25 representatives of rubber covered wire manufacturers arrived from New York to Providence. They were hosted by National India Rubber Co. officials at Bristol with a clambake at Col Colt’s on Poppasquash and an evening dinner at Hotel Belvedere. The visit includes a factory inspection, a golf club outing, a steamer trip to Squantum and Newport, and a Fall River line sail to New York. The Rhode Island clambake impressed attendees as a highlight among the factory visits and social events. The list of guests includes leaders from Bishoro Gutta Percha, General Electric, American Steel & Wire, Crescent Insulated Wire & Cable, New York Insulated Wire, Hazard Manufacturing, Simplex Electric, Roebling’s Sons, and others.

Town Council Meeting Resolves Sewer Help Request

The town council chaired by Judge Hammill met at 2 pm in the Council Chamber with Capt. Robert N Turner seeking aid for constructing a sewer on the north part of Hope street Bristol Neck. He urged help and referenced public need and Theodore Roosevelt's calls for assistance.

Rhode Island Liberty Principle and Town Sewer Debate
