The author recounts a sunrise journey through Pemigewasset Valley to Bethlehem New Hampshire. A grand procession forms on a one mile street lined with arches and ornate coaches. Notable sights include Profile Lake the Old Man of the Mountains and elaborately decorated carriages led by Col Oscar Baron.
The Rhode Island fair runs September 16 to 21 with nightly performances of the New King Cole a touring world journey of Mother Goose figures. A large ballet corps and vaudeville acts join a grand cast finale with fireworks. production cost about $10,000.
