Returned from the West Col Callan's Detroit reunion
Col L H Callan returned Wednesday after attending a reunion of the 32d Division in Detroit Michigan. The event drew 10000 division members with banquets dances barbecues and festivities praised by General Pershing Maj Gen Hahn and state and federal officials. Callan led the largest parade unit of engineers composed of Wisconsin and Michigan men.

New Permanent Highway Under Construction On High Street
Satisfactory progress is being made on the new permanent highway extending High street from Walkers Cove to Bradford streets. The road will be curbed end to end with cement and granite curbing to improve drainage. Town Engineer H. S. Jewell and the Town Council pushed the change to install about 6,000 feet of cement curbing, with new site lines on the west side. Completion will include road surface finishing after curbing, creating a boulevard in a residential area pleasing to motorists.

Fares Rise On New Haven Lines With Ticket Changes
Fares increased yesterday at 12 01 am local time on New Haven lines raising zone rates by two cents making town to Providence fare 40 cents. Green zone tickets replace pink ones on the Consolidated branch and old tickets may be redeemed this month. The 25 trip family book will not be used on the Bristol branch while the monthly 60 ride and school monthly books stay at pre September 1 prices.
