The Rhode Island School of Design joins Brown University in presenting a second Art Caravan display titled Modern Landscape Painting and its Origin at Reynolds School. About 40 full size color copies of world famous paintings will be shown with explanatory notes. Free hours 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, through Friday, with Inquiries answered by Art Caravan graduates and staff.

Weather permitting the Bristol Yacht Club will host a special race Saturday for 124-footers competing for a Paul C. Nicholson trophy. Course begins at the Yacht Club, sails around Prudence Island, ignores most buoys, and must pass the island buoys at the south ends. Start at 1 a.m. with a 7 p.m. time limit. Each boat must carry an anchor warp large baler and a life preserver per crew member.
