Francis Signs Up For Paratroops

Bristol soldier Pvt. Leonard R. Francis has volunteered for duty with the U S Paratroopers. He entered the Army at Camp Kilmer on September 30 and will begin jump school after basic training at Fort Bliss Texas. Francis is the son of Mr and Mrs Manny Francis of 5 Harker Avenue. He served as a bass drummer with Scouts and as a member of the Kingsmen and Rangers Bugle and Drum Corps. He is stationed with Battery D 19th Training Battalion A A A RTC Fort Bliss Texas.
