The funeral of James J Whittington was held Saturday morning at 8:80 at his Congregational Street home and 9:00 at St Marys Church. Rev Thomas J Fitzpatrick celebrated a requiem high mass as numerous relatives and friends attended, with floral tributes. Bearers included William Hammill Edward Obriasie Hugh Breen John Gallagher Frank Quirk and William McLoughlin a Woonsocket nephew. Interment followed at St Marys Cemetery.
