Bristol County PTA members plan a bike safety campaign inspired by Daniel H. Kauffman of Cranston RI and seek theater cooperation to show suitable children's films on weekends. They also host an Exchange Sale of clean gently used children and infant clothing from sizes 0 to 18, plus toys ranges and play equipment, at Colt Auditorium from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow.

Max Barros of 421 High Street now in the Marine Corps on Parris Island reports a 214 score on Marine Qualification Day. Platoon 100 of the 2nd Marine Battalion, Barros’s unit, is the only platoon since 1947 to achieve 100 percent on the rifle range.

Police Apprehend Sévén Youngsters for Lock Picking
Seven Bristol boys aged 11 to 14 were detained after removing three padlocks from garages on Constitution Street owned by Joseph Campanella. Officer Anthony Carlone found them at 7:10 pm on Charles and Wood streets and the youths, not intending to enter the garages, were taken to the station with the locks and nails.
