Mrs Van Wickle Buys Eugenia Yacht In Chester Harbor
Mrs A S Van Wickle of this town and Hazelton Pa has purchased the fine large steam yacht Eugenia built this year and launched in August by Roach at Chester Pa for J G Cassatt of Philadelphia. The Eugenia is 174 feet overall, 149 feet on the water line, beam 21 feet 6 inches and draft 11 feet, with two triple expansion engines and electric light. It is a pole masted schooner capable of about thirteen knots, fitted with eight staterooms, three baths, and luxuriously furnished throughout. The purchase was arranged by A S Chesebrough as Mrs Van Wickle’s agent.
