Brightman Defends Record in Bristol Senate Race

Mrs. Gladys M. Brightman Democratic candidate for state senator attacked her opponent Sen ator DaPonte over lack of Bristol legislation during General Legislature sessions. She pledged to publish her two year House of Representatives accomplishments and challenged DaPonte to present Bristol laws he has had enacted. Joseph A Margo Democratic candidate for first Councilman praised current town administration and pledged forthright problem solving if elected. He highlighted support for buying the Court Street telephone building as town annex for police and officials and noted obstructionist tactics by opponents’ allies that stalled the purchase.
