Seventh grade students from Guiteras School enjoyed autumn weather while Project Ocean Study teams, about 31 youths, explored the marine and forest environments along Colt State Park. They collected specimens, drew a tree stump, and learned under August Botelho, the science teacher and project director.
Rotary Club heard Jack Ault outline Bristol YMCAs troubles a short age of funds and lack of professional staff since July. He praised dedicated volunteers and announced a new executive director Roger Bourgery with ten years experience from Providence Y. Programs for women and swimming stay strong with staff led by Hector Massa Jim Dollin and Julie Toste.
