Red Feather Emblem Contest Winners Named
Winners of the 1956 Community Fund Emblem Contest announced by Thomas C. Jannsen. Antonio Cardoza earned first with a full rigged ship and red feather background. Edmund Oliver took second with a girl geese and onion scene. Marguerite Gooding won third with industry farming sailing and Mt Hope Bridge under a red feather. Honorable mention went to Antonetta Maturi. Displays open tomorrow at Bristol Radio and Electric Shop.

40 Hours Devotion Opens Sunday At St Marys Church
The 40 hours devotion begins with a solemn Mass Sunday at 10 45 a m at St Marys Church celebrated by V F Msgr Charles H Lynch. A procession follows with St Marys School pupils and the Womens Sodality participating. Adoration continues all day and a high Mass is set for Monday at 7 a m. The devotion ends Tuesday evening with a solemn Mass at 7 30 p m followed by a procession.
