About 150 people attended the annual harvest festival at Odd Fellows Hall under the Rebekah Degree Lodge No 12. At a yesterday meeting held at 93 Hope Street Bristol the Bristol Female Charitable Society re elected Mrs Sarah J Spooner as First Directress for the 50 year member of the Board of Managers. Miss Miriam W Skinner is Second Directress Miss Harriett Peckham is Secretary Treasurer and a Board of Managers includes Mrs Henry Mie Gibson Miss Gertrude D Drurs Miss Pelle M Wardwell Mrs Arthur W Barrett and Mrs Fred G Blaisdell Rev Frederick Le Marvon praised the officers for their relief work noting over 30000 distributed in the society’s 112 years. The organization dates from October 6 1811 and is one of Bristol’s oldest charities.
