Old Guard Wins in Local Republican Caucus
In a Town Hall caucus the regulars defeated the volunteers with a strong paper-ballot win for L. S. Hoff man as chairman by 201 to 104. George W. Simmons withdrew from Senator race. H. Shepard nominated and elected Senator. Williams beats Church for Representative. Sheriff Philo V. Mady chosen for State Central Committee. town committee formed with nine members. Roughly 700 people attended as votes were counted and positions filled.
