Rand Out On Bail After Prohibition Conspiracy Charge
Sigmund Rand of Central Falls was arraigned in Providence Superior Court on a conspiracy to conceal and transport liquor charge. He pleaded not guilty and posted 3000 bail furnished by Harry E Soren of Providence. Co-defendants Jacob Berkelheimer and Bernard J Kirk with Thomas F Kirk were given until Dec 3 to file special pleas after delay until Nov 22. Chief Kelley and three local officers attended Rand’s arraignment.
