Town weighs park land swap to boost beach at Asylum Road

The New England Telephone Co installs underground cable vaults along Goodin Ave and Hope St. A 652 foot trench carries a nine four inch pipe line for cables with concrete cover. A 900 pair cable may be added later from Metacom Ave to the first vault. A precast manhole was lowered at Hope and Gooding Aves. Temporary asphalt patching will cover the trench for 30 to 60 days to settle before gravel and permanent restoration.
