The 14th annual Bristol County Poultry Association show runs December 6 to 8 at the Naval Reserve Armory. Exhibits cover grain poultry supplies incubators and related items with two evenings of motion pictures and lectures. Entries must reach Secretary James A Clarkson at 380 High Street Bristol by Saturday November 25.

Diphtheria Clinic Tests Schoolchildren for Immunity
Diphtheria tests were conducted in Byfield Walley and Oliver schools after seven recent cases. Dr Thomas and Dr Richards of the State Board of Health supervised with Health Officer Magee and nurse Sanford. About 600 pupils were tested with the Schick procedure to identify susceptible children for vaccination and later immunity testing.

Automobiles collide in three Sunday incidents
Three minor accidents occurred Saturday and Sunday with no injuries. Miss Alice W Bourn’s auto hit Joseph Phelan of Fall River on the Pappa squash road near Red Crest estate. Sunday morning Fred Wilbur and Edward Dunnigan collided on Hope street. Sunday afternoon John W Best Jr’s car struck John Collard at Hope and High streets.

Railroad Station Changes Franklin Street Yard Upgrades Begin
Improvements at the Franklin Street yard of the New York New Haven and Hartford Railroad are underway. The old engine house is being torn down and freight track work includes a new north entrance, a 48 foot driveway, and reduced tracks to boost space. Station upgrades add a larger 20 by 44 foot waiting room and extend the platform to 300 feet while keeping the building exterior unchanged.

Boy Dies of Injuries After Street Accident
Seven year old Joseph Ferrara Gracia died at Rhode Island Hospital after being struck by a motor truck on High street near Bourn street a week earlier. Driver Kadis Levitan said he paused for gasoline when the child ran across and tripped on a streetcar rail. The boy was attended by Dr. M. Merriman and moved to the hospital where he succumbed to severe head injuries. Funeral services were held at St Elizabeth's Church with burial at St Mary's Cemetery.

Bristol Train of Artillery Fair Draws Big Weekend Crowd
A large crowd attended the Bristol Train of Artillery Fair Saturday night with the Warren Artillery, Kearney Post, American Legion, and Kearney Unit Auxiliary present. Dancing was the main feature as other attractions entertained patrons. organizers plan another fair next Saturday with prize drawings and hope for more attendees, including those who missed last week.
