Bristol Boys Club Fund Drive and Local Shooting Tragedy
The Bristol Phoenix urges Bristol residents to support a Boys Club room with a $5 pledge from twenty locals, listing initial subscriptions and seeking a suitable venue and a caretaker. Also reported is the fatal accidental shooting of 19 year old Hannah Hazard in Boston, whose remains were brought to Bristol for interment and whose husband managed a shooting gallery at the Nickleodeon Theatre. the gun accident involved Mrs Ilene A. YMCA Building Committee Reviews Gym Annex Plans
A YMCA building committee meeting looked over gymnasium annex plans. Bids for constructing the annex are due next Saturday. The basketball team will travel to Fall River January 18 for a game with the Fall River Y.M.C.A. and will host a return game after the new gym is finished. The Woman’s Auxiliary entertainment committee plans the first social of the series for Thursday evening. A musical and literary event will feature the Association quartet E M Worth George W Suydam Wendell R Davis and Dr A M Merriman with violin solos by Samuel Kinder contralto Miss Juliette M Fish charades by entertainment members and a piano duet by Miss Emily D Bennett and Miss Elizabeth A Wardwell. A social hour and refreshments will follow.

Joseph Kinder of this town accepts the offer to become foreman of the calendar department at the new Mullett Rubber Company factory in St. Louis Missouri. He plans to move mid December to assume duties after prior work with National India Rubber Byfield Rubber and Bourne Rubber. Bristol friends wish him prosperity.

Elegant Sunday Evening at Christie House
About thirty guests were entertained last Sunday at Edward F Christie's State Street residence. Lavey's orchestra provided vocal and instrumental music with solos by William J Duffy and Peter Lannon. A fine collation was served. The gathering honored Misses Isabel and Clara A'Hearn, Gertrude Sullivan, and a Providence friend.

The Court of Probate held its regular semi monthly session with Judge J P Reynolds. The will of Ambrose Waldron was proved and Olive G Waldron named executrix with a $50 bond. Jeremiah Donovan appointed administrator for Rudolph Yasser estate with $400 bond and two sureties. Donovan also appointed administrator for Mary A Vasser estate with $800 bond and two sureties. Widow’s allowance to Benjamin Snow granted. Mary Bent estate inventory allowed.
