Town Council Sets Special Meeting on Debt and Police Upgrades

Mr Golden Resigns Muskegon Post to Lead East Rubber Firm

W J Golden of Muskegon formerly and locally of this town has resigned as factory superintendent of the Vulcanized Products Company and accepted the same role with A A Rubber Company in Framingham Massachusetts. Special Officers Retained In City Police Reorganization

Chief Thomas Dwyer, under town council order, moved two night officers Henry Serbst and Everett L'B Church to day duty. Four special constables Otis Wood Charles H Bickford George E Magee and William A Tucker continue on duty temporarily assigned to night shift. With Capt James W Goff and Officers Hugh F Kelley and Richard Contury the force totals 10: seven on nights and three on days.

Pilgrim Night at Memorial Chapel Congregational Church

The first Pilgrim service of the series will be held Sunday at 7 30 p m in Memorial Chapel. The pastor will speak on The Pilgrims in England and Holland and special music will be provided by Mrs Frank Dimond and Mr Mrs F M Dimond who lead the musical portion of the program.

Davis Byrnes Couple Wed At St Marys In Fall River

Capt Albert C Davis and Miss Nora L Byrnes married at St Marys rectory yesterday at 4 pm. Rev Thomas J Gillan performed the ceremony. Bridesmaid Nora Mahoney and best man Charlie Davis attended. The couple honeymooned on the Fall River steamer to New York and will live at 260 Hope Street.

200 New Members for Y M C A Recruit Campaign

Equal Suffrage Notes Across States After Ballots

Women voted for President in twelve states and for a congressional delegate in Alaska. Illinois reports 800000 women voters and Kansas 250000 with Utah sending 40000 despite a snow storm. Three Utah women likely join the legislature from Salt Lake City. New York saw 3000 polling workers and 5000 attend a suffrage ball at Grand Central Palace. Jeannette Rankin elected Montana’s congresswoman on the Republican ticket, the first woman in Congress, advocating National woman suffrage child welfare tariff revision and prohibition.

Senator Elect Connery Gains Four Votes in Bristol Race

The State Returning Board increased William L. Connery’s total by four votes, declaring him elected State Senator from Bristol by 12 rather than 8. Adjustments occurred in the First District with Connery gaining three votes and MacDougall losing one.
