Diabetes Detection Week promotes free tests in Rhode Island
The Rhode Island Medical Society offers free urine analyses from November 16 to 22 to screen for diabetes. In Bristol County, local drugstores provide specimen bottles and labels, with tests processed at cooperating physicians and health facilities. A Bristol Fair and a 10 minute TV program on the 18th accompany the week, chaired by Dr Robert W. Drew and local health and employment officials.
