Town Council accepted a 25 cent daily police raise effective Nov 5 for all officers except Patrolman Rohrman whose raise starts Feb 1. Rev Anson B Howard elected to School Committee to fill McCoy’s seat. Council discussed nuisance on High St and Borden Ave with Health Officer empowered to act.

Bristol Constabulary Adopts By-Laws Nominates Candidates

The Bristol Constabulary met after last evening's drill and adopted by-laws. A nominating committee of William Bradford Samuel C Wardwell and Fred Debuc was formed to name candidates for Captain and First and Second Lieutenants. By-laws state that missing three drills in a month without satisfactory excuse severs membership.

Campaign for War Work in Bristol Plans $4000 Drive

The Bristol executive committee outlined a five team flagging drive to raise 4000 for the National War Work Council next week. A dinner at Hotel Belvedere features speakers from state headquarters and Capt Allen Edwards with a U S naval officer. Funds start Tuesday with daily bulletins at the Y M C A building.
