Letters urge Bristol to resist US Rubber tax rebate
A Bristol reader urges town authorities to oppose further tax rebates for the United States Rubber Company. The letter notes past tax reductions, high per square foot charges, and compares with Collins-Aikman, arguing the company should bear broader community costs. It laments the plant's relocation and calls for local government to curb what it calls a tax raid.
