School Programs Highlight Elementary Talent At Two Junior Highs
At John Post Reynolds and Guileras Memorial Junior High schools on Friday afternoon pupils performed a variety of acts. John Post Reynolds featured Grade 6 B 1 with Miss Ella M Waldron, including The Fair Shoes playlet read by Nellie Lombardi and ten pupils acting, plus flag salutes, singing America, and multiple recitations and songs led by students such as Clara Avilla and Antonio Accardi. Guileras presented the playlet Unexpected Guests with Andrew Panza and others, plus poems by Helen Aguar and Mary Russo and several more pupils performing, forming an afternoon of student showcases.

In Fifth District Court Judge Frank H. Hammill ordered Vincent Nappi held for the December grand jury on a recklessly operating a motor vehicle charge after the Sept 3 Bay View Ave crash that killed 10 year old Frank Cirillo. Nappi’s bail was set at 3000. The trial also heard a truancy case in which Petro Orazio was told his daughter Mary could choose Bristol or Oaklawn schools and to bring her to court if she skipped school.

The Bristol Train of Artillery and Battery C Coast Artillerys fourth indoor rifle match will be held Thursday at the BTA Armory on State street.
