Records Should Be In Vault Per Town Officials Say
Town records should be kept in town owned vaults. Town Engineer William W Perry faced pressure from Council President Prescott B Paull and sewer commission chair Donat J Gladue to turn over records he has held for years. Perry refused citing lack of sign for records, prompting questions about possible job oust. Gladue urged practical work and warned of tough conditions in handling Perry. A separate note lists condemned Thames street properties including New Haven Railroad depot and estates of Shepard Bassing and Murphy.
