The Santo Christo Society fair opened Saturday evening in Columbia Hall on Wood Street to raise funds for the Santo Christo feast next May. Booths offered goods while committee members and many young women ran tasks. An orchestra provided music for the dancing as the fair continues next Saturday.

Excavating Trenches For Telephone Cables In Bristol Town
Work began Saturday on Court street at the telephone exchange to lay underground conduits for wires. Tucker Construction Company of Providence handles the project using Bristol workers. Trenches 42 inches deep and about 20 inches wide extend along High street to Hope street and toward Ferry Road with plans for a future submarine cable to Newport, involving about 3000 feet of conduit and substantial company investment.

Eddy Family Association Holds Plymouth Reunion
Miss Leah B. Young of this town and Miss Anna H. Whipple of Barrington attended the tenth annual Eddy Family Association reunion in Plymouth Massachusetts. The event included exercises at Brewster Park and the unveiling of a bronze tablet commemorating the 1630 landing of Samuel and John Eddy. Miss Young is a direct descendant of Samuel Eddy.
