New England Weather Week Brings Cloudy Cold Conditions
Weather across New England remained cloudy and cold with moderate precipitation. Mean weekly temperature fell 4 degrees, frosts hit Maine and three northern states, while rainfall totaled up to 1.90 inches in Eastport and heavy showers occurred on the 16th to 21st. Crops stayed largely at a standstill, with germination slowed by cold cloudiness though grass and fruit showed some improvement.

An act introduced in the General Assembly outlines the Rhode Island Suburban Railway Company with 2.5 million capital to build operate nonsteam lines in Kent Washington Providence and Bristol counties. It seeks rights from United Traction and Electric and to acquire franchises of other firms while setting stock not to exceed 2.5 million and requiring organization within two years. A separate note says Frances Jackson riding a bicycle on Hope Street collided with a horse and wagon near the post office, injuring her shoulder and arm. she is hospitalized with a dislocated shoulder and cuts, driver unnamed.
