Santo Christo Feast Set This Weekend at St Elizabeths
The Feast of Santo Christo at St Elizabeths Church runs Saturday and Sunday with a statue procession from the school auditorium to the church. A Portuguese band concert, a Sunday Mass at 11 am, a 3 pm sermon, and an evening program continue with a north bay route procession. Delegates from the Santo Christo Club participate, men wear Azores red caps and white capes with red velvet jackets, and the Holy Name Society sponsors the event with Manuel DeFaria and James Lima as co chairs and Mrs Mary Sylvester handling refreshments.
