Town Council Special Meeting Actions and Grants
The town council approved $20,000 for current expenses and allotted $100 for the Fourth of July celebration. It instructed the clerk to arrange payments, consult the sewer commission on Bristol Neck, and consider delaying the contract if needed. Other actions include letting J H Bailey Jr use Town Hall for a stereopticon lecture, appointing Charles Doherty custodian of the gravel lot, and approving baseball and track work requests. The council also invited Babbitt Post to a church service and debated mortuary chapel plans, road repairs, and rail line improvements with the Rhode Island Company.
